Just back from this Easters break but already thinking of easter 2011. We really fancy going to Cambrils Park near Salou. Easter is later next year so would be going 18th-25th April. The weather dosent seem any better than here looking at the forecast which surprises me. We enjoyed Holland but the nights were so cold and we are warm people lol who need sunshine and warmer evenings. Has anyone been to that part of Spain in April? I'm sure I've read the temps in Spain are down on the usual. We would be staying on one of the Aloha Bungalows as we only have a week so will be flying.

We've been to Cambrils Park at Easter - and had good weather - warm, but not hot.  I think this year, in Spain, the weather has been very different - cold just like it has been here.  My ex-husband lives in southern Spain and says the weather has been rotten for three months.  Have you looked at the historical weather records - here - where you can select - Reus Aeropuero - which is the nearest fixed point to Salou.

We went to Barcelona mid Feb 7-8yrs ago. It was nice and warm in the day, just top and jeans weather but come evening it was winter coat and gloves temps.

Yes you will be fine we went in January little further down the coast and had snow so I am sure in April the weather will be alot warmer.

I have friends currently stuck in Malaga who are desperate to return to England and sunnier climes. They spent a lot of money on a swanky villa with pool for a week (we spent £200 on a mobile home in France - guess who had more sunshine?). Apparantly this is very unusual for this time of year. We spent Xmas in Malaga in 2008 and it was lovely and warm, the evenings were also pleasant.

have you booked Berny again for 2011 Askhill? We were really impressed with our Thomson mobile at Duinrell, spotlessly clean, well located and the reps were excellent.

We've decided to go Whitweek instead, about £200 more but weather will be better with warmer evenings. Would hate to go at Easter and find it cold.

Hi pager yes we've booked for 2011, I think this may be the last time though as eldest son turns 16 next year. The new outdoorpool area at Le Croix de Vieux Pont looked lovely (not open til May 1st) and there was a posh new bistro on the new part of the site near the beach (!). We had a great time, including a fab day out at Asterix (why haven't I been there before? We all preferred it so much more than Disneyland).

We've spent many Whitsun weeks in Spain, we used to stay in a beautiful villa in Gandia, south of Valencia, with its own private pool. I really loved it there and the weather was always great. So you've probably made the right choice to go at Whitsun instead of Easter.

Glad you were impressed with AlFresco, we've always found their vans clean and well-located. Our reps were great this year too (one even remembered us all from last year and bought us a gift, which was nice).
