I agree with Bridgeywidge - it is so nice to see someone say Thank You.   

Sometimes when you've taken the time and trouble to reply, and sometimes spent quite a lot of time in giving detailed information, it is just a little bit sad that you occasionally never even know if the original poster has actually read your reply - let alone taken the trouble to say Thanks.

I would also like to echo the thanks to helpful posters on here. I usually check the "members only, your profile" to see that I have read all the relies that have been sent and thank at the end of the series of posts, and to say what the result has been, but that is assuming that the posters will look to see if their help/advice has been taken.

You can also ask for email notifications of replies to a post - to make sure you look at the replies just tick the box outside the bottom left hand corner of the text box you're typing into.

Thanks Val.  Definitely easier to keep tabs on replies.  For some reason I assumed it was for personal emails rather than general reply

I am somewhat miffed too if I give details of a site for example and the OP doesn't bother to reply, it is nice to be thanked.
