We didn't suffer from Mossies in Vendee this year, the Cicadas were a pain, as they were running up the awning pole and entering the Folding Camper through a whole at the top, but a piece of kitchen roll put a stop to that. We also had visits from Grasshoppers and a Preying Mantis!, they are interesting to watch, but I honestly can't recall any mossies.
A good deterent for Mossies is to eat Marmite.
