They charge 1 euro per kilometre, Francais, and will tow up to 50 km outwards journey, from the storage site. There's a site very nearby, Les Cerisiers du Jaur (Camping Cheque site from this year) and it's open all year. We intend to keep our tow car, so we'd have the caravan taken to site for our main holidays, spend a couple of days there, and then go off touring somewhere, bringing it back to clean up and leave ready for the next holiday, an then they would tow it back into storage. However, in the winter it would be nice to have it towed to site and then just arrive on a flight and hire a car, too!
In the summer months they require more notice to move the van, but in the winter are happy to move it at fairly short notice.

Hi Val.
Thanks for that info, I guessed that it could be done and was wondering about the cost, 1Euro per Km seems fair if the site is not to far away, will give "Les Cerisiers du Jaur" a view, could be the solution we are looking for. we would be looking to have the van towed to the site and left there for upto 9 weeks June/July/August, so that other family members can use the van, that way we split the cost of storage, site fees and towing, been working on this for a year know as the van has been stuck on a driveway over hear for 2 years now, quite a shame realy as the van was bought new 2005, but keeping it on a UK site permanant with storage was becoming over expensive. and then the weather of course.
Andy.

Cerisiers du Jaur is 11 kilometres away, according to Google Maps, and looks like our sort of site. We're going to have a look around, or perhaps stay there, during our next holiday, so I'll let you know. We've been to St Pons (un-touristy little town, nothing spectacular - except there was 'The Meteorite Shop' which sold bits of meteorites, some very cheap and some hugely expensive). Olargues is nice, the market in St Chinian is fabulous, there are a few lakes and rivers around the area, and lots of other reasonably interesting places within a short drive.
We thought about storage on site, but because our van is getting old we're looking to store it under cover so that it lasts a bit longer! We've just had to replace a large front window because of damage caused by direct sunlight - and everyone knows about the dreaded 'damp'. Hopefully, indoors, it will avoid both those issues.
