Forgot to mention, what I do like is that you can input a French town, say Aubenas and then just type in Camping, and it brings up a whole bunch of campsites within 30 miles of Aubenas, I guess most sat-nav's do this but I think it's quite amazing.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Hi MrsG26 it was I who started this thread. Have travelled over 2000 miles so far in France on a tour from Dunqerque to Annecy,to Verdon Gorges, Cote D'Azur back across country to Millau Viaduct then Sarlat in Dordogne. Currently at St Georges de Didonne near Royan. The Sat Nav has been helpful particularly with final directions close to sites. But with a caravan in tow I have been apprehensive about taking "her" directions and have used the road map a lot. For instance when travelling from Annecy to Verdon we decided to follow the D1090 /D1075 thro Grenoble down to Sisteron but "Nancy " kept telling us to veer off left presumably to pick up the D113 which travels down parallel but looks a longer route on the map. To be truthful I haven't mastered the intricacies of the Sat Nav but speaking to others everyone seems to get the same problems of potentially being diverted up unsuitable roads. I wouldn't trust the Sat Nav completely unless travelling solo. It does have interesting extras such as the addresses of fuel stations close and will direct you to them if required.
