Hi Jeff,
Havent been to Indian Forest but know folk who have.
They had a good day, their kids are 14/15/9 yrs.
The only thing they said was that you need to wear long sleeved tops and long legged trousers.
The zoo was quite small but made a rally good day out.
Castle at Talmont was rally different - kids could dress up do archery etc... again good.
Not sure if you have kids but if you do other ideas are - parc d'attractions in Brem. The velo rail. Canoeing on the salt lakes just outside les Sables.
been the zoo many years ago when the kids were younger and remember it was good. French zoos tend to be nicer than the zoos in Britain with many of the enclosures looking more natural (or as natural as they can be for captive animals!) this one, like others, has nice walk ways round the zoo and no where neally as commercialised as British zoos and not as busy either.
PS when there some of the larger monkeys escaped from their island and wandered round the zoo. One stole sweets off my youngest son, though served him right as he was teasing the monkey by holding them out at the time. No one seemed concerned that the monkeys were out so must be a common event.
The Indian Forest might be a bit much for kids of your age.
The folk who went said it was quite hard going and their kids are very active.
Maybe someone on here might have been and will have more information for you.
Ours are 5 and 8 and loved all the things I mentioned (in last posting above ) last year and the year before. Also horse riding from the campsite was fun, as was the circus that seemed to tour the sites.
Ps I apologise for my poor typing on last post ... I really must check my typing....
My boys did the Indian Forest when they were 9, 11 and 13 and found it quite tough going, so I don't know that I would recommend it for younger kids. I think yours would probably prefer the zoo.
Susie
