We're arriving in Dunkirk mid-evening and travelling via Lille, Tournai, Mons towards Namur.
Has anyone ideas for an overnight halt in a village square, or similar, just off the A16/A7? Or, any hints on parking at a Service Area in Belgium. Is it as easy as in France?
We'd like to be about 2hrs. from Dunkirk.
Many thanks

If you are ok with parking at a services there is a large one on the motorway at Mons, no probs parking there if you are not worried about security issues.
There is a site on the outskirts of Mons itself, actually within walking distance of it. We've only used it in winter to visit the Xmas market in Mons and found it fine. How busy it will be in summer, I don't know. It's nicely situated right next to a park.
Alternatively, there is a very useful website which has been compiled by a Belgian person, it lists campsites close to motorways in a lot of countries. Link HERE
