Hi everyone - could do with some assistance/ideas for our French/Spanish trip this Summer.

We are going for nearly 3 weeks.  Only fixed points are that we need be down near Montpellier about 5 days in.  We then fancy nipping over the border into Spain for 5 or 6 days and then have about a week to make our way back toward Dunkerque.

Does anyone have some fab ideas about different places we could travel to in France or any suggestions for sites they have stay in on route to the South.  I would like sites with things to do near by or on site for my son and his friend who are both 11.

Thank you

Do you just want advice on france or the spain bit too?

Camping vilanova park ( on campsite search) is very good. Nr Sitges just south of Barcelona easily doable from Montpelier. Close to beach and a local train ride into Barcelona.

They have pool, playground, zoo, restaurant, bar, shop and the best ablutions blocks I have seen. (heated)

Thanks for the advice - some great ideas.

I have been to France quite a few times and was trying to find places I had not been before.  One wuestion though - where is the flooded volcano crater - that sounds great.

Thanks
katie
