Any recommendations for a decent municipal or small non singing and dancing campsite for an overnighter near Rouen (headed to Ile de Normoutier from Calais)???

Can't see anything reviewed in that sort of area. Thoughts gratefully received.

Popular cheap overnight campsite about 20miles short of Rouen is this one its about 5mins off A28 motorway signposted as you enter town. Used it loads of times, its ok.

Yup! I agree with Tentz. We used it twice last year and it's great. We looked at a few other sites, came her and asked and this one ticked all the boxes. They don't open up their cafe in the mornings but you can score fresh coffee if you smile and ask when you pick up your croissants in the morning :-)

There's a useful little municipal south of Rouen at Pont de L'Arche on the A13. It's called Eure et Seine and it's on the riverbank just a couple of minutes off the main road.

The municipal at St George du Vievre is great: lovely village, spotless facilities, every pitch is a super pitch, and around €15 per night. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=9458

totally recommend here, we used it twice last year. We loved the free internet and use of indoor table tennis.

have used St Claire Neufchatel - handy for leClerc supermarket as I recall
thinking of trying Bernay this year, driving thro Rouen on a Sunday should be easier than weekdays
