we have just got back from Lake Garda yesterday

we stayed at Cisano / San Vito,which was a lovely location for us,being first timers to the Lake.

We visited Malcesine for a family wedding,using the ferry from Bardolino,and also went on the ferry in the other direction to Peschiera

Didn't use the buses or trains,and spent most of the time chilling,wandering round the lake,the markets,drinking & eating! speed boat trips etc

we stayed in a chalet tent with Selectcamp,but would like to go back to another site ,maybe driving next time and spending a few weeks there,visiting more areas

talking to one of the reps,they said Bella Italia has fab facilities etc but it's so big with 12k placements on the site!!

I am liking the look of Fontanelle and Fornella

We have just booked Bella Italia in August so they are not full yet.  £60 per night for 3 of us in the trailer tent.  Many sites will not take bookings at all & say just turn up.  Don't like the idea of that as the TT takes a bit of folding up in the morning & don't want the uncertainty of finding all the sites full up with queues waiting for people to leave.  Had that on the Med in Spain, not a nice feeling.
