We have always taken our Sky FTV satellite system to France good reception all over France and I mostly use it for Radio since the BBC shutdown the ShortWave World Service, as for DAB Radio I seem to remember that France may be using DAB+ which is not compatible with the UK DAB radios, and if and when the UK turns of the Analogue radio signal of, the current UK DAB radios will need to be binned and changed to DAB+ Radios, as for Freeview Recievers they will work in France, of course you will only get French programs, also the Freeview box may struggle to get a decent signal at some campsites, probably why most French campers with TV use satellite themselves.
