This willbe our 1st time on a long ferry with a baby of 4 months. What do you all do, Do you take babies pram on board or what. We will be having a cabin, just so I have somewhere to hide.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

You'll need the pram for baby to sleep in. There will be a lift up from the car deck, and plenty of space on deck so no probs at all. Cabin might be a bit cramped, they're very economical on space.

yes you take the pushchair onto the ferry. Either you carry the pushchair up the stairs from the car deck or you take the lift.

Some ferries (I can't remember which now) will let you park your car by the lift on the ferry. You just need to mention it as you are checking in and they give you a special sign to hang from your mirror. The guys loading the ferry tell you to drive on when they know there is a place by the lifts. Doesn't work every time but great when you have pushchairs etc.

I usually asked when I was travelling, without OH, with the 3 children when they were very young.

We did this on the Harwich - Hook of Holland ferry when we were travelling with Dad, his mobility isn't great and they put us in the row next to the lift.
