Stayed in Dinard and St-Cast-le-Guildo over the last couple of years. Managed to pick up Channel Islands terrestrial signals in both locations. This was only analogue, though. French digital is, as mentioned in a previous post, MPEG4 as against Freeview MPEG2 and incompatible with UK domestic TVs. However, MPEG4 format has been adopted for Freeview HD (already broadcasting in London and Manchester) so, in theory, you could tune a UK spec Freeview HD box into French TNT HD digital channels. That, of course, assumes that the box can scan the correct frequency range. Complicated, ain't it?
