It depends which Island, Jersey or Guernsey, they both have there unique differences, although I live on Jersey I find Guernsey has alot more character and has retained it's roots more.
It was a few years back but we stayed on Guernsey at a Scouts campsite. It was really cheap and very quiet. We went in May so I guess that during the Summer it will be busy. Not sure if the details are available on here. We have also stayed in Herm and Sark. Sark was my favourite.
------------- Get me my dust pan and brush, we're going camping!
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Not much use if you plan to do much touring around but the campsite at Herm Island is fantastic! Isolated, but fabulous views across to Sark and then France beyond. No cars on the island - you have to get the ferry from Guernsey, but a tractor will meet you and take your kit to the campsite. Shell beach is amazing.
We stayed on both Jersey and Guernsey in June this year and found very good sites on both islands that I would certainly recommend, they are:
Jersey - Rozel camping park, you will find my review on this website, I would certainly recommend this site.
Guernsey - Fauxquets camping site, another really good site, I haven't had time to do a review on here yet.
We found the families at both sites VERY friendly and the sites were both beautiful and well maintained.
Hope you go and have a great time there.
