Only three weeks to go and we are off to Frejus for two and a half weeks - can't wait! OH and the boys are very keen to go to Aqualand while we are there, but it is very low lying, close to the Argens river where some of the flooding was last month so I was wondering if anyone knew if it had got away unscathed?

If this is the same Aqualand above St Maxime, then the probably thing you would probably need to worry about is fire damage.  We were there a couple of years ago and it was an oasis in the middle of desolation!  Having said that we love it and go there everytime we are in the area.  Be very wary of the water park in the campsite/mobile home park in the hills above Rayol Canadel.  All the slides are concrete.  Our daughter is scarred for life from this one.

Don't know if its ok or not, we went in 2008 and it was good fun, its cheaper to buy the tickets online beforehand, we did this on the campsite on the mobile web then realised we had no printer to print them out!!!!!!!

Just a note about the beaches... we found the best place to park and the best beach was beyond the aquapark and go karts, then carry on down the coast rd, you come to a bit where the road goes between two car parks,a bit like a causeway, we always got a spot for 4euro right next to the beach, have a look on google earth.

We may visit again this year as were only about 35miles away

Aqualand was fine, we were involved in the floods, and it escaped unscathed.  The go-cart track next door had some big puddles (small lakes really) but that is probably because its lower.

Thanks everyone, we're really looking forward to it but sorry to hear you were caught up in the floods Neil.If you lost all your gear I hope your insurance company is being sympathetic, unlike some it would seem.
