crossed millau viaduct 2 weeks ago for 9.90 euro , today it was 11.80 euro . also campsite at issoire raised prices 2 euro per night in the last fortnight.fuel creeping up from 1.08 to 1.12 as well..... wonder if toll roads we use will have gone up as well ?

Some toll prices are seasonally adjusted, don't know whether this is the case at Millau or not. But yes, I agree France is getting increasingly pricey.

Prices vary by area too. In our six weeks we never saw diesel for less than €1.12 but we didn't get south of the dordogne.

that could explain it then.still well within budget though so far with 3 days to go

The Millau viaduct toll is 'seasonal' and the two rates, Summer and Winter, are published on the toll booths.  However, someone told us that French fuel prices do go up for the start of the main French holidays and then come down again in mid-August - where here, prices just go up, and then never come down again!

I've never bothered to check but I'm sure I remember a few years ago (and I can't remember how many so it may be a lot!) that motorway tolls were tweaked to make it cheaper at times when they expected to be less busy ie to help manage traffic flow.

Dont' know if they still do it and the bridge *may* adopt a simlar policy?
