We are off on Thursday morning to the Ardeche then the Med. We are now looking at stopping in the Loire for 4 nights on the way back and would really like a site with pool slides for the kids.
Can anyone recommend any?
Cheers
Harold

not been but the Castels site Fierbois south of Tours has slides in the pool too and one we have been and can highly recommend is Chateau de Marais near Blois, has great pools with slides.

Domaine du Verdon Castellane and Etoile d'Argens Frejus Aug
Can I persuade you to stop a little bit further south? Les Peupliers near Poitiers has slides in the pool and the pool is open till midnight. There's a big flume, some of those wavy slides and a tiny one for the toddlers. The late opening generally involves some well-organised water-polo in the main pool and people paddling with toddlers in the cool of the evening in the "beach" pool.
This year will be our 5th holiday at the site. Son is 17 now and wants to go next year too.

Parc de alicourts referred to above is also the pierefitte site. Have used this as a stop over to the med 4 times now and always thought that it would be nice to stay longer. five pools, with slides and wave machines, a large beach lake that can also be swum in, nice bar, good take a way plus other facilities make it great. BMX track, spa (free in low season) and ample playgrounds for little ones are older children plus beach volley ball and other fun things make this a great site for families with children. Can t comment on the area as only stopped there one night at a time but the whole family did like the site.
I've been to Parc de Fierbois twice, but have stayed in a static on both occasions so can't review the Caravan and Camping element. However the toilet blocks look good with baby baths area and laundry. I did think that they had focused mainly on being a parc with Static holiday homes rather than the camping bit but someone who has camped there may give a different opinion.
Loads to do including kids clubs, Outdoor swimming pool with slides and fountains and a toddler area, indoor swimming pool and a lake with a beach for messing around in and really good fishing there too! Very noisy froggies (the actual amphibian not the locals!!) too!
They even ran aqua aerobics and water polo sessions in the indoor pool. They did have one of those arial assult courses, in the trees over the lake with zip wires etc. but it was two years ago.
You can hire bikes and those sort of car things that you all get in and peddle, (don't know what they are called now)
Parc de Alicourts is the bees knees.
Only stayed 1 night on stopover to the Med last August.Weather was roasting and the site was top notch.
Would like to stay for at least a week one Summer.
Give it a try you wont be dissapointed
