Sorry know lots of post on electricity but I am very confused.

Going to Dordogne on the 6th for 2 weeks, campsite amps are 6 amp.

On our quest fridge it says 230v 50-60 Hz 75w 0.33A

Cheap kettle AC220 240V  50Hz  power consumption 2200w

Fan 220 = 240v 50Hz input power 28w

Really can't work it out.

Also want to take hairdryer, phone chargers, portable dvd player.

Please can someone help.  Thanks

The fridge,fan,chargers ,DVD players all OK on 6 amps,the kettle is too much app 10 amps,I dont know what hairdryers are rated at but if they are app 1000watts you would be ok.

Easy to work out, the wattage of your appliance will be marked on it somewhere & the voltage is 220V.

Your current (I) is calculated by dividing the appliances Wattage (W) by the Voltage (V).

e.g. kettle is 3.2Kw & voltage is 220V

therefore Current (I) is 3200 divided by 220 which is 14.5Amps.

The camping problem with kettles is that it is now difficult to buy one that isn't fast-boil, these are all of a higher wattage than the older fashioned ones with ring elements in them.

Don't take your kettle from home its too powerful for most French connections, buy a low wattage one.
