I've tried both our local Halfords, Sainsburys, Argos, Wilkos etc and none of them have them. We're off on Thursday. Will we be able to buy them at services off the M20 or on the ferry?

don't know which ferry port you are travelling from but I do know there is a shop at Portsmouth Ferry Terminal that sells all that type of thing.

You can buy it all at maidstone services (last before dover/folkstone) or on ebay much cheaper. I expect any independent car spares & accessories shop will have it too.

Those items were silly price at the Dover port shop, Aldi were doing a whole foriegn travel kit, from memory it included Triangle, EuroLites, GB Sticker, Hi-Vis jacket, spare bulb kit all for £14.99 don't think it included fire extinguisher though!.

You don't see as many vehicles with the GB stickers these days due to most having the Euro Logo reg plates.

Not all cars need the stickers for the lights either!

At the very worst the shop on the boat will have the kit - but probably at the highest price.  eBay is a good option, or any decent motor factors / MDC / Halfrauds should be able to get some for you.

I got my hi viz jackets from the pound shop, my warning triangle £4.99 from ebay and the GB sticker, beam benders and bulb set from Halfords.

If you ask at the check in kiosk for your ferry company they will give you a GB sticker free of charge and the beam benders are on sale in the Dover Port shop and on the ferry. They arent ebay prices, around £7.99 I think so not too expensive.

Thanks all. We're going to stop at maidstone services on the way so will have a go there, but if not we'll get them on the ferry. I tried at halfords again and the lady there said that none of the halfords branches had any?!

Francais is correct the best value is Aldi/Lidl they sell travel kits that contain identical parts as those at the ferry shop/ports but much cheaper.
