We are going to Strasbourg next week anyone know of any good campsites to stay I believe there are two in Kehl one is fully booked and the other one is called camping europa anyone been there. 2 adults mid 50's no kids to take staying at home. Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
We stayed at a brilliant site south of Strasbourg, on the D5 near the Rhine at Rhinau: 'Camping Ferme des Tuileries'.
This was our favourite site from the dozens we stayed on during that particular Euro tour!
Swimming pool and really clean shower/loo block. Friendly owners, free range eggs etc. Semi-hard standing for campervans. Everywhere else for tents, caravans on grassy fields.
Hopefully it hasn't changed!
Others we stayed at in the area were Camping Heidenkopf, Niederbronn les Bains (N62)(good)
and
Camping Municipal Les Pins, Hagenau
We drove into Strasbourg and used the Park & Ride which is excellent and so cheap. You must do a river trip and see where all our Euro contributions are spent - fantastic buildings.

Yes we also used the Park & Ride. The trams are great! Cathedral is well worth the visit with an animated clock!
If you like Art, the Gallery of Modern Art is well worth a visit.
Look up the MIchelin guide for any of the sites up to 50km around Strasbourg. Drive or take a train into Strasbourg. This can be done from as far up into the Vosges as Rothau (a nice quiet Municipal in the hills). Plenty of commuter trains from Obernai.
