Was heaving Saturday night. They were turning people away without bookings. Do they still charge a booking fee? If so, how much have you paid for an overnight stop?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
we paid about 38 pound for our overnight stop which we booked through the cc. unfortunately our journey took us longer so the pool was closed before we got there so we didnt use any facilities there as we were up at 6am to get our ferry.

I looked it up online yesterday, about 44€ for one night for two people. You couldn't get a breakdown of charges but I assume there was a booking fee. Gandspette was about 28€ for the same night.
We spent the afternoon and night before the shuttle home at Peuplingues - 10 mins from the terminal, quiet, friendly site, beautiful countryside / coastal surroundings and 12 euros 50 for 2 people, van and electric (showers were 1 euro for a token so we used our own!). We figured there was no point paying for facilities we wouldn't use and were pleasantly surprised by the site. Very handy for Auchun (and fuel) at Calais, or Cité Europe if that's what you prefer.
