Mmmm, Dutch apple pie. I have a big problem with that, my Wife (who is Dutch), her Mother, and her Aunt all naturally make their own but who do I say makes the best?
oh Ross, now that is a really difficult one, you'll just have to keep trying them all
I like the way they all have their own little differences every town you visit
agree with Stroopwaffles & Ontbijtkoek
also love poffertjes
I may be biased but I love the Netherlands whereas my Wife loves the UK, odd. Anyway I read a lot about Brits camping there but have yet to meet any so where do they all go? Last year we were in Zeeland and some friends came up from Boxtel to visit us, they found our pitch by just looking over the campsite for the only GB plated car, and this was on a big site.
More naturists, we spent 10 days here this year (as well as Friesland and France). Had a great time there, especially as the camping fields were almost empty and will go back next year. Not as close to the coast as I'd like but it's only a 25km bike ride away (Dutch bike lanes are one of the reasons I love the place so much and being flat helps as well).

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I think Holland has more naturists than anywhere else. Most of them are in France in't summer tho. We have been to smaller naturist sites in Holland in't past when we had a VW camper but we just stick with Flevo now. Nice relaxing place whatever the weather. We were very lucky in April tho. We hired a mobile home in the cheap week before the Dutch hols & got sunshine & temps in't 20s all week.
This was my first time and I was so relaxed it just wasn't true. Was a bit nervous at first mainly as we were meeting my Wife's Aunt and Uncle there and being British the thought of seeing them in the buff seemed a bit odd but turned out fine. Also cut down on the washing so can't be a bad thing.
Just come back from Camping Strandbad just outside Edam had a fantastic two weeks, weather mixed, but cycling fabulous as always. will do a full review when I've got more washing on the line!!!!
Waffles and Apple pies to be had in plenty and the Edam Cheese market is something to be seen.
This is our 3rd time to the Netherlands and we love it. We only saw 2 other GB cars the whole time we were there
Looks like a nice site. Will have to visit Edam next year, if only to see the cheese market. I like the old goat and sheep cheeses you get in the Netherlands, never seem to get the same thing over here.
