But wherever you are there is the threat of being robbed. Campsite owners are not going to go round telling every camper that there might be the chance of being robbed. It would scare everyone off. They are running a business. Even in a hotel room there is the chance of being robbed but Cosmos don't tell everyone that. It is a risk but so is crossing the road.
However I appreciate that it must have been pretty awful for you and I do sympathise with you. I'm not sure if I would want to go camping again if it happened to me but then perhaps I would who knows until it happens to them.
I lived in London for 10 years and never saw any trouble. Moved to Kent and within a year had been burgled. It can happen anywhere.
