I'm off for 8 days in France shortly and it's just occurred to me that we're running the Camping Gaz chef on a Calor Gaz 4.5kg butane bottle. We've had three days use out of this earlier in the year, and now of course I've realised I've got no idea how long a bottle like this is likely to last.
I know it's a how long is a piece of string type question, but for normal dual burner use (kettle, evening meal etc) do you think we should be okay for just over a week plus the three nights we've already had?
The thought of having to buy Camping Gaz bottle, regulator etc in France fills me and my wallet with terror.
Thanks!

I just spent over 4wks in France cooking with a Campingaz 907 with 2.75kg of gas & it didn't run out, so the answer to your question would be, yes your bottle is adequate for the trip.
It all depends what you use it for! We used about 3Kg of gas for our recent 3 weeks in France. We used the caravan oven for about 1 hour every day, gas barbecue on for approx 30-45 minutes every day, and the gas hob for cooking, probably on average 1 burner for 45 minutes a day.
