The answer is that it can vary hugely. We have an apartment in a ski resort and my sister in law lives at the bottom of the mountain not far from the eastern end of Lake Geneva. If we are in cloud at the top there can be a good ten degrees difference in temperature. Quite often the temperatures in the valley can be in the low thirties during the summer whereas up the mountain the temperatures tend to stay around the mid twenties in the sun but can get down as low as 13 or 14 on a bad day.
Answer - be prepared for everything!
