Does anyone have any experience of Camping La Nautique in South west France. We are considering staying there for a week in October and would like some honest opinions.
Thanks in anticipation.
------------- Bikes on roof and low car park barriers - not a good idea!

Stayed at this campsite for a night in July. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pitches vary in size and it would pay to discuss which pitch you want before booking. We had an overnight pitch and it was only wide enough for our van - no room for an awning. The individual toilet block on the pitch is a good idea, but they are a bit tired and the hot water ran out fairly quickly.
The 'etang' or sea is close, there is a swimming pool (which was really full) and lovely food in the restaurant. There's also the normal facilities e.g shop, tennis courts, internet, laundry etc.
This area of France is very windy (mistral) and the ground is also very hard... pegs can be difficult to hit in!! Personally I'd not want to stay here for more than a couple of nights. We have found better sites a bit further down (La Brasilia at Perpignan) or if you fancy driving a couple of extra hours from Narbonne, there is a fantastic site in Spain (Ballena Alegre).
Stayed there 2 years ago for 2 weeks and would agree wholey with Shawxclan the site is tired and in need of re furbishment, the Etang tends to smell if the weather is hot for a few days, better sites further down the road in Spain.
We stayed at Les Mimosas nearby last september. It was a bit end of seasonish but nice. Had the pool almost to ourselves. It was beautifully warm, didn't get any smells from the etang - it was a pleasant evening stroll away.

We stayed there and liked the site. The private facilities are so handy and the people running the site are so freindly. We cut our stay down by 2 nights before we went and they actually didn't charge us for those nights. It depends on what you are looking for. We had two kids with us and this site was ideal.
Perhaps couples without kids might prefer quieter sites. Not quite sure what needs refurbishing, as our pitch was fine and near kids playground as we had requested.
We had an overnight stop at La Nautique a couple of years back and to be honest wouldn't go back. Staff are friendly, the pitch we had was long and narrow which was okay for 1 night but would have been difficult with an awning. Pool was chocca block and something a bit further down the road past the pool area absolutely wreaked!!!!! We also got eaten alive. Couldn't get to Le Soleil the following day quick enough.
