we've just booked a holiday for next may/june with Canvas in Dol de Bretagne,Chateau des Ormes I think - anybody been there??? Looks good in the brochure and the kids are looking forward to it so fingers crossed.

Hi

Chateau des Ormes will be our first site - so I'd love to hear from you when you get back! although only the good news please as we will be committed by then LOL! -  Just tell me the ferries are smooth, the campsite is great for 4 and 6 yrs olds, the beds are cumfy and you couldn't hear the man next door snoring and I'll be happy!!!

How old are your kids? are you going in a tent or a mobile?

our kids are 12 and 6plus a bit and we'll be in a tent - just hope main pools etc are open for them or we'll never hear the end of it but it sounds good

We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was a nice site, and we had a good few days there. The kids loves the water slides. The campsite restaurant was pretty good (the one overlooking the other pools, rather than the water park) as well. We were in a Keycamp mobile home and as I remember the pitches were quite well spaced out where we were pitched. Have a good time!

I worked for Canvas on Des Ormes this year and I am very jealous that you are going I would love to go back again! It is a fab site, absolutely loads to do for the children, of all ages, I would recommend the paintballing and Adventure playground for the older kids. The swimming pools are open all season but during low season (may and sept) they open a little later and close a little earlier, but thats only about 10am till 6pm so they have all day! I hope you have fun! Be nice to the Canvas reps! I shall be working in the cote d'azur this year but would swop that for dol!

We have now booked for this site and really looking forward to it - taking my mum too so a bit of time to ourselves whilst the kids live in the pool sounds good - might even be bingo for her too! You never know! Maybe you'll get back to that site Kate one time - probably best out of it if we're coming next year
We're off to the sun and more pools over new year so I'll be able to get back into the holiday spirit then....
