Can anyone recommend a good French campsite. Ideally South West France. I have two boys aged 8 and 9 so would need a decent swimming pool and slides and maybe a beach or lakeside beach.
Many thanks

"The CHM Monta is a nudist camp, located in France on the Atlantic coast. Located in the Gironde at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, naturist camping CHM Monta offers 2Km naturist beach in a nature preserved area!"
I think the SW coast of France could accurately be described as region of Aquitaine covering mainly depts 33 & 40. On that stretch of coast the main large campsites with pools with slides & direct beach access are Euronat, CHM & Arna, all of which are naturist. If you can get over still wearing yer pants when its hot they are actually the best campsites on that stretch of coast.

Hi don't know what size site you are after but we have been to La Rive in Biscarosse on and off for the past 8 years, big site but great pool complex and a new indoor pool. It is situated on a lake and has its own beach access, lake is shallow for a long way out and is very safe for children and inflatables! Has a good cycle path from the campsite through the forest to the small town of Sanguient. It is about a 10-15 min drive to the Atlantic coast beaches which are great for body boarding but waves can be quite strong so adhere to the lifeguards! Always lots of other children around to play with and there is a kids club which is run by the site so mainly in French but when our children were younger they enjoyed it especially the circus days.
To enlarge on that, the main beaches in front of towns & out of town lifegaurded areas like Le Gurp do not allow dogs but if you walk up the beach well away from the main areas then it is dog friendly but it is also naturist friendly so you might encounter naked folk, so I hope your dog is not easily offended.

He's not easily offended but he can be awfully curious?
