We went there this year and absolutely loved it. The pitch we had was huge, i think it was A14 or A5, any way we took our own tent and it is a big one, also had plenty of room for a gazebo and our car.

The pool was great, our kids, aged 12, really enjoyed it.Didn't have any problem getting sunloungers as have heard from other visitors.

Didn't eat in the restaurant but had a couple of pizzas from the takeaway and they were really lovely.

Entertainment ok, as you would expect. Good shop on site, also nice little gift shop. Downsides the mozzies are awful, despite being prepared we were all eaten alive.

There isn't much to do the area but as we only went for a week that was ok for us.

We would def go back. I thought it was a very pretty site with loads to do. The staff were great, there if you needed and discreet enough not to be in your face.

We booked direct with the site and there were great about the whole process.

Sorry keep meaning to do a proper review, will try later if have time.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

We were there for 2 weeks last year and we loved it too!  Our pitch was over 200 sq m - there is a problem with mossies but after being severely bitten on the first day we windbreaked against one side of the hedge nearest to our tent and the problem was pretty much solved!!

Pool area is fantastic - although probably the worst case of sunbed grabbing I've ever seen - you won't even get a sqcm space to park your towel around the pool after 10am, if you want a sunbed you have to be prepared to head there before pool opens.

We found the entertainment to be pretty good but again getting a seat in the square to enjoy it meant you had to be out early.

Restaurant was very Dutch and the food a bit hearty for the weather for us so only used it a couple of times.

Apart from these issues which is basically that the site facilities aren't really enough for the number of people staying there is school hols its a fantastic site - if you can avoid these then you will have an amazing time.

I would highly recommend Marennes beach - must be a bit of a local secret as I never saw another holiday maker there just locals - is fantastic beautiful soft sand with a beach warm water lagoon with a life guarded area.  There are restaurants and a small ice cream/snack kiosk plus you can park right in front of the beach - we spent lots of time here.
