Yes, read this earlier, but if the threat to Europe generally is "high" and, as stated, that to the UK is "severe", it would be safer to go abroad, surely?
... I'm guessing - unless you specifically hang about places such as the Manchester Arms or the Celtic Bar or the Red Dragon while caravanning/camping abroad then you will be fine - be vigilant on your crossings and at the major sites just the same as in the UK.
There was a sentence about security on the safety recording on the tunnel, about not leaving belongings outside your car, and looking out for anything unusual, like they do on the train and stations.

I always think that it would be easy for them to do some thing on a ferry, as there are hardly any checks when you get on or off, you could have anything in your car!
i heard its more likely to behappenong on the med coast of spain and or the algarve this winter . due to the high levels of groups etc settling down. itcame from a source in morocco so even that could be out this year.
One can't spend one's life in fear. If we stop doing things because we may meet terrorists then they have won without having to do anything.
We are a hardy people. We survived the WWII, the IRA bombers, and will survive the people who now want to do us harm. Be vigilant but be intrepid.
As an Anglo/American family we have two strikes against us. It isn't going to stop us enjoying life though. We may stay away from Spain but we would do that anyway.

I agree be vigilante but don't dwell on it - when these things happen its just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and there isn't much can be done about that. Although Im now glad we have chosen rural England for our hols next year!
