The only problem is you have to buy the DVD every year to get the up to date CC sites which can be expencive.  I just buy one every 2 or 3 years as there is not many more sites added on it each year just some of the sites join the Camping Card scheme.  I find it easier to go onto the site www.campingcard.eu  where you can search the map and other means to find sites that take the card in the Country and Area you wish to visit.  This site is just for Camping Card sites.

Johnks it was not my maths that was wrong it was you got the wrong year.

Well, once you pay for the card/book, you have all the discounted sites, so, as you say, no need to buy a new DVD every year.

We bought the 2009 one, then we got a free 2010 one from a prize draw of those submitting site reviews. We will not buy the 2011 one, but I have just submitted 21 reviews today, so maybe I will get another free one!

Another small point to note if you have the Disc or log on to their Site Map......if you select a site then choose 'Facilities' and scroll down to 'Miscellaneous'.....you can see if they have Wi-Fi and if it's in Bold it's an extra...if it's plain text, then Wi-Fi is free.
Better than searching for a McDonalds?

Actually, on our most recent trip we found that this info about WiFi was not accurate on a number of sites which accept ACSI. I will do some reviews in the coming days on the ACSI website too, and will certainly mention that!

We found that a few sites which stated they had free WiFi actually charged for it and vice versa.

Whether that is due to false info being given to ACSI, or ACSI inputting the info incorrectly, I don't know of course.

On the WiFi subject I am never quite sure what 'Internet Point' means. I assume that there is a PC in the corner of reception on which you can access the internet! Often turns out they mean a WiFi point at the bar. Also a couple of site we have been on, despite a charge have had pretty awful WiFi, Brabanne was one of them. On the other side of the coin the site with free Wifi seemed to have pretty good WiFi and on one we could get it some way from reception. Could be very different in the peak season.

In the ACSI book on the inside front cover there is an explanation of all the facilities/amenities. If you look under number 2, point A, that is: reservation with CampingCard ACSI also possible.

Therefore I assume that any site which displays 2A in its description will accept advance bookings.

I think those descriptions are a bit hit and miss sometimes!! A lot of sites seem to have added WiFi since the printing of the ACSI guide, as on a few we went to it didn't say the site had WiFi.

But as you say, WiFi reception is a bit hit and miss too, although when we were at Mas Nou for a week, WiFi was from the pitch and most of the time very good, only the occasional hiccup.

We have also found the info on EHU can be wrong.....e.g 6 amps instead of the 10 amps stated.

And where sites meter electricity this is not noted.

Also info on whether a site charges a tourist tax would be useful.

These 2 charges can mount up and add quite a bit to the costs.

They won't receive the guide themselves until early December, so we'll have to wait until then I suppose...

ACSI do not always get their facts right.  Last year most of the Vignette prices for some of the Countries was way out of date.

One site we visit in Germany had free wifi but now have to charge as they have extended the system to cover the whole, large site so it can be used on all pitches.  I personally do not mind paying a small fee but some sites do go over the top and you have to use what you buy in 24 hours.  I would sooner pay for the amount of days or so much an hour to be used over 6 months if necessary like we did at one site on going on holiday and used the other time left on our way home 3 months later.
