Both these sites have good reviews, any one visited them both?Taking the van over first two weeks of July next year for the first time.We would rather have a bit more space and be off the coast slightly so these two seem to fit the bill.Any comment gratefully received.

Have only been to Garangeoire for a visit, it did look a lovely site but for us. sSome of the pitches were under trees, that did put us of going there.

Been to both with small and then slightly bigger children.Went to La Garangoire about 6 years ago and La Guyonniere in 2009. Both quality inland sites well set up good facilities , Both have pro and cons La Gara was pretty huge and I never caught anything in the lakes( appart from small carp) it did have a good mix of nationalities but the bar was expensive and the pool packed. La Guy was very Dutch with very few French and some patches of Brits (late july early August) pitches awesome (had our own badmington court) lake good ,pool good, bar Ok .
We had great holidays in both ,i would probably return to La Guy if I fancied that part of the Vendee again
We popped in to look at both while staying at Le Pin in August.
IMO, La Garangeoire looked much better (but probably much more expensive). The site was generally much prettier (La Guyonierre was quite bare and dusty) and the pool and eating complex looked better.
But the biggest single complaint about La Garangeoire is the amount of UK guests - something like 70-90% brits whereas we only saw one UK outfit out of about 20 at La Guyonierre...

This may help for la garangeoire, it is a google translation from zoover
After a terrible experience on another site with 3 stars, we went only for four stars. This site is definitely worth it. We had not booked but they did had trouble getting us a week to stay. the caravan is moved 3 times but if you have many places to try. Chock (98%) families decent English. Quiet evening, you can also pick up good food we found very good eating. Super Street Market, very clean bathrooms at the reception and the less frequented locations, at least four times a day cleaning and good hot showers. Nice pool, inflatable. What I missed was a small playground on the site. Cozy bar where you can use the internet (not free). Beautiful surroundings. Bicycle trailer also baby. Nice flea markets in the area, situated in the agenda booklet bar. Would recommend if you keep calm and Englishmen. This chain (Castels) is a must.
It is good that this time it is chock with decent English. So keep calm and keep your Englishmen
Update,SWMBO has decided and we've booked first two weeks in July,at La Garangeoire,Portsmouth - St Malo ferry. All I have to do now is save the pennies.
