We have used it in the past and in Sept we stopped by to have a look. It was pretty busy but it looked okay, the toilets are heated and full of plants.

Hi we have stayed at this site quite a few times it is well kept very eco orientated.  The toilets and showers are very good and yes it is quite small and very quiet.  However it is a popular site and gets booked up very quickly.  As for close to the beach it is a good 15-20min walk but the pool is very close so it makes up for this. And the walk isn't too bad a a very nice beach at the end of it.  It is not too far from Estartit yoy could walk it along the beach if you feel energetic.

Highly recommended

Lynda

looks very nice, we prefer smaller sites and this seems a real find for a Spanish site which are mostly much larger sites.

We have stayed on Les Medes site often ,most recently in March and April of this year( we had snow !!).It is a lovely site with a lovely pool and restaurant. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the beach and half an hour into Estartit(you walk all the way by the beach). The site can be very busy and many Spanish use the site. The toilets and showers are  first class The only down side is .. the site is full of mature trees and while they are no problem during the winter months when the leaves fall off, in Summer they offer far too much shade.

Stayed at Les Medes for two weeks about three or four years ago.

Found all the site facilities to be kept to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. Toilets, showers, restuarant, bar, all spotless. Restaurant served lovely meals at very reasonable prices. The nearest beach I would reckon to be about approx 15 minutes easy level walking away. The beach is gently sloping resulting in the water being relatively shallow for a fair distance out - ideal for children. The town of Estartit is about a further 15 minutes walk or alternatively you can catch the "land train" there and back for a couple of euros.

The only downside, and the one thing that would prevent me from returning, is the pitches are quite small and close together resulting, in my opinion, to a claustrophobic feeling. We went the last week in June into the first week of July. The first week was o.k. as the site wasn't full but the next week the site filled up and was not nearly so pleasant a place. The best way to pitch is parallel to the access roads, everyone seemed to pitch like that. Because our van door opened on the different side from the continental vans it meant ours was "nose to nose" with the van in front. There was not space for me to walk directly between the two tow hitches, I had to turn sideways. Same at the rear of the van, almost tight against a tree, with another outfit directly behind that. First week we did not have a caravan at the side of us ( pitches in double rows) second week we did - if I had wanted to I could have reached out my kitchen window and knocked on my neighbour's side window. Very cramped and felt closed in. Caravan immediately in front, behind and to one side - on the other side was a narrow access road with another row of caravans at the other side of that.

The pitch we were on had, electric, water and waste connection.

We stayed there a few years ago with our Coleman tent.
We had a very high fir tree hedge behind us and had to pitch parallel to the hedge, which left no room to guy the inside. Also there was very little room to sit/cook outside the tent.
Otherwise it was a nice clean site - I particularly wanted to stay in Estartit as I had last visited in 1980!

I to like Estartit and have tried 3 campsites there and would struggle to recommend any of them to highly.I tend to stay at Eldelfin verde ( big site busy) or the smaller with good sized pitches camping Begur. Both are only a short drive from Estartit.

Another beautiful site further down the coast is camping Treumal but that takes you away from the estartit area.
