Hi Grumbleflick,
Best way to use your Tesco vouchers ( for Euro-Tunnel) is to check with Euro-Tunnel website, the cost for your travel dates and times, submit your vouchers for the right amount or just under and settle short-fall by CCard.
It says in the TESCO terms & Conditions :- " Unused & In-date tokens can be returned to us for a points refund" (Be aware though, that you may not get 4X points back, because of the rate change.
Hope this helps.
Andy.
The above may be correct, but I think Tesco are falling apart at the seams at the moment. My Tunnel vouchers rec'd state in Terms and Conditions, Tunnel vouchers "cannot be refunded" and "no change will be given if the voucher exceeds the fare.
Recent transactions with Tesco using the 2 for 1 points uplift, and ordering wine on line, have resulted in non delivery of orders, non acceptance of vouchers, Phone calls are out of the question, and e - mails get a " generic response" which is less than useless. It is only 2 December so "Heaven help Christmas rush". Hence the " falling apart at the seams".
Personnally I would register your voucher exchange before the closing date, but be prepared for a bit of hassle if the response goes astray. no doubt normal service will be resumed after Christmas.
Best of luck
FM
All the above a bit prophetic. Latest respomse says "on line " is set to 3 x but if you got caught in the rush, send in your vouchers to claim a 4 x swop, plus 2 for ones will be recredited on application in February.
Hope Wikileaks don't target Tesco, jobs done for them I reckon.
