hi ,we are thinking of going to south of france in august in our tourer any suggestions where to stay [with children ] any pitstops as well

Hi Stu - which part of the South of France?  Do want the Cote d'Azur/Riviera end to the east of the Rhone Valley, with smaller 'cove-type' beaches, or the long sweeping sands of the Languedoc to te west of the Rhone Valley, or do you mean (as a lot of people do) the Vendee/Landes area on the Atlantic coast?  Do you mind inland sites with good facilities, or do you too want direct beach access? 

The area you choose will affect your chosen route, and therefore recommendations for overnight stops.

Hope you can come back with a few more details, and plenty of us will be more than willing to come up with suggestions.
