Just got an email from Travelex saying they are offering a Euro rate of 1.51 today. Do they know something we don't? According to the Beeb, the Euro is about 1.18 today, and Travelex is doing 1.51. Am tempted to get some at that rate but..........does this mean they think it's gonna crash, or something?

Nice one! If I had spotted it sooner I would have changed my savings into Euros and jumped on the ferry to get that caravan I have always wanted! Cash discount of course

Blimey, that's a major cock-up by such a big firm - and they will have to honour any order otherwise it's false advertising and illegal, I believe.
I work in a bank (no, I didn't get a bonus) with currency traders - they would have a field day if they had noticed that...would have cost Travelex a fortune...

I very much doubt if they do have to honour it by law or tho they might as a matter of 'goodwill'. If summat is advertised at a certain price, say by a shop, by law they do not have to sell it to you at that price or indeed any price.
You can contact trading standards, but to have a case they would need to prove there was intention to mislead. Even if they could prove that, they still could not force the goods to be sold at the incorrect price.
