OK, this is just an idea and I just want to know if I've missed something...
The wife wants to take this kids to DP next year - apart from the horrendous cost, I don't want to go because I HATE queues.
Now, they have, I believe, some Fasttrack queuing system but why can't they extend it so that, like a Tesco delivery, you book a 15 minute slot at each ride? You could do this on the website before you even arrive at the park.
So you turn up at that time and hopefully have a maximum time of 15 minutes to queue? They should know roughly how many people go through a ride in 15 minutes, so they can ensure they only have that number of people who can book that slot.
This is surely a win/win situation; we don't have to queue as much so are happier to go and, while we're not queueing, we can be in the shops and cafes, spending extra money, so the park should be happy.
Or am I missing something?

My family are going to Disneyland France next August. Wife, sons, daughter and grandchildren. We are camping fairly close. I am trying to get out of going. I do not queue for anything so is there anything else to do? Anything without a queue? While they are away I could go to the nearest bar have a lovely meal, drinks and a nice quiet day with some change in my pocket. Am I boring or sensible? Fred.
When we ( myself, hubby and sons 14 and 8 ) go on our camping breaks to Disney,we tend to "lose" hubby / dad after the first day lol
he doesnt mind doing one day but no more!
he tends to take the laptop to the Disney village ( wi fi in macdonalds and starbucks and possibly the sports bar?) to catch up on some work emails
and has food etc there
there's also val D'europe not far, with many shops and restaurants, sea life centre, gym etc
or jump on the train and head to Paris

Does anyone know the best excuses to give the wife, children and grandchildren for not going to Disney.
How about just going? First time we took the kids to Disney my hubby was certain he'd hate ever minute of it, chuntered all the way there about how he was going to hate it, there would be queues, it was overpriced commercialised rubbish etc etc.
We got there and I swear that the Disney magic just got hold of him, just a little bit. It really is a wonderful place, if you let it. The kids' faces when they saw their favourite characters were more than worth all the queues and expense and he'd not have missed that for a minute. Some of the rides are really very well done, even for cynical old grown ups -It's a small world, Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean, not scary, not fast particularly, but the detail is amazing. The shows are very good too, Animagique, if you go to the studios is a don't miss.
It's only one day out of your life, I don't see what the big deal is. Go with the mindset that everything will be expensive and it will be busy, then you won't be shocked, but just enjoy it for the sake of the kids and you never know, you might surprise yourself. ;-)
