Hi
We have a regulatoron our gas bottle but I notice the tunnel says
This filling rate will be checked via the gauge. If no gauge is present, the vehicle will be refused.

Do you have to have to buy something that actually measures the gas?

Can't really see what you mean, but if its just a normal gas bottle in your caravan or in your car for cooking etc, theres no problem.

I think the statement refers to fixed gas containers and not bottles. But having read eurotunnel's T&Cs here it is confusing.

In my experience they just want to know whether you have gas bottles and confirmation that they are turned off / disconnected.

I would agree that the statement refers to 'Fixed' gas containers as opposed to 'Mobile' gas containers (bottles).

We have been through the tunnel for the last 5 years with our caravan and all they do is look at the Bottles to make sure they are turned off.

You will have no problem with normal bottles just make sure that they are turned off.

As Mike says there is no problem with normal Calor type gas cylinders. They will just do a physical check to make sure they are turned off at the main valve.  They probably say they should only be 80% full, again no problem because they are never filled beyond that anyway.
