Some years back that we stayed there so I won't say too much - everything may have changed but it looks much the same. The family liked the water/play areas, I liked the bar, there were plenty of reasonably priced eating areas. Despite the facilities, it wasn't noisy at night.

Great for visiting Florence (drive to the station in the nearby town then get a very cheap train ride) and convenient for other historic and cultural places.

I'd be interested to hear more up-to-date comments since we'd consider going back.

You can't do better if you like Chianti! Weather should be no problem - when we went it was very hot so we took siestas up in the hills. However, I do remember one terrific hailstorm - lasted about fiftenn minutes!

Hi Nead,

Stayed there for a week 3 years ago.

We are retired but i would say it is geared for all ages.

It is superb for children

The site is set in a valley with a dead end(called acwm in Wales)

The valley bottom has tents, caravans, holiday homes and all the main facilities bars, pools, restaurants etc.

The valley sides are terraced for caravans, holiday homes etc used by major holiday companies.

Access to the site is awkward down a short steep hill .

Entry to the site is banned during siesta and all driving on site banned at this time.If you arrive at this time you have to park up till it reopens.

Security is the one of the best i have seen and they take it seriously.Seemed very safe for kids.

Bars, restaurants very clean, reasonable choice of food. They also have a wine shop there.

For dog owners you must keep dogs on lead but there is good dog walk at the top of the site and outside ,away from any accomodation.

The intention is for you to spend your money on site.

They run coaches every day to various places Florence,Chianti vineyards etc and reasonably priced.Other than a visit to the supermarket we didnt use our car.

As had been said there is a mainline station in the town if you want to do your own thing.

Terry
