You'll need to take a 2 pin adapter as not all campsites use the round blue connectors.  The 6 amp bit will make a difference to how much stuff you can plug in at the same time.

It will. Anything with a heating element such as a toaster and kettle will draw heavy. Sometimes you can get away with using both at the same time but on some sites you dont. So if you have your fridge on electric and maybe a tv etc then you will have to be careful using a heated appliance. But its all good fun and a learning excercise. Yes, you should take a 2 pin continental adaptor and they are not expensive - fram any good camp shop.

We normally manage fine with 6 amps or less, so don't worry it will be fine.

As others have said you have to remember not to use too many appliances. So, we usually heat water using electric but instead of leaving it on all the time we turn it on and off as needed.

Hopefully you will not be needing heading but again, you can use 500W or 1000W heating (if nothing else is on) to take the chill off.

The thing you have to be most careful of is a kettle. We use a low watt on in the caravan but if you have a 2KW one like we use at home it will blow the elecs.

Basically it means you can only use electrical appliances which require less than 1KW. And in your calculation you need to remember that the battery charger & fridge also draw power.

Generally on French campsites the trip switch is easily accessable on the ehu point so if you do trip it, you can reset it yourself.

I was worried about surviving on 6A, but TBH as long as you are sensible then you'll be fine.

12 nights on site and did not trip it once.
