Thanks Frogman. I have a large twin axle. Would that be a problem? My car is a Kia Sedona and would pull your house down so im not worried about power to weight.
No. The hill is steep, but as you say, if you have a good tug really there is nowhere out of bounds. I have a recollection that the Caravan Club say something about the approach. Basically it is steep with hairpins, but patience and bottom gear overcomes all.
Point is taken about what David says. I suppose you decide whether you book through the CC or direct, and what anyone calls "a long way". I found Landal to be very , i could even say too professional, but if you wanted somewhere special, I presume you could ask based on the site plan. generally we did n't feel remote.
Re fishing, I did say the river Trier, which is of course down in Saarburg, not"on site"

Is booking through the CC more expensive do you know? Do they want their slice too?
By no means, I have just done a booking through the CC and saved a bucket, but they seem to have a very wierd technique for discounts. can't fathom out how it works, but the nett result is that if you book a site and certain ferries, the total booking does n't add up the individual elements, ie there is some discount which comes in when you add the two together. Have n't been able to predict the system, but the fact is that if you play around with ferries and sites, and dates, you can turn up some very good results. Takes a bit of time, but can be very worthwhile. eg just made a booking for 19 days, but if I did 20 days, that added £200 to the bill. No matter how I permed the site nights or ferry dates, i could n't beat the system, so happy hunting.
