Hi all, I am looking at heading to Germany this summer but this year my two teenagers are wanting to go in to Pup Tents rather than stay in the caravan.
Can anyone advise if German camp sites charge for Pup Tents or do they work on Pitch and Persons regardless as to what people sleep in ?
thanks

Hi Southfield, As in many places it depends on the site and if you are paying per person or per pitch. So, I am afraid, there is no definitive answer. Ask in advance is best bet. I find most German sites usually to be very understanding and accomodating.

Which part of Germany are you thinking of going? It's a beautiful country with very friendly people. There is a sister association of the C&CC, the The Deutscher Camping Club which publish a European site book . well worth the money! Called the DCC CAMPINGFUHRER EUROPA. Hope this helps

we went to Germany (Black Forest) and Austria last year and love it, so we are heading back this year, we are looking at Bavaria, but not yet settled on a site.
The main diffurance is the kids are older and a lot taller and only just squeaze in to the bunks so thus thay are wanting to go in to Pup Tents.
I'll be updating mine this year. We're going through Germany into Poland, Slovak Republic and Czech Republic coming back via Germany. Routes are never planned totally so Campingfuhrer is invaluable.
