Hi, we are looking at sites near Saumur suitable for a 14 year old boy and 11 year old girl, must have a pool and somewhere the kids can make friends. we want to go the very end of the school holidays. Any suggestions please? Prefereably not too noisy though. thanks

We went to St Catheirne de firebois in the Loire a few years ago which is a great site for families. Waterslides, kids club, play area, bar, large pitches and nice little town you can walk into with a lovley auberge.
I think any commercial site in the summer holidays is a bit noisy, there was no late night noise with disco's or anything though, it was quiet after 11 pm.
We have two children, one is 13 and the other 15.
They loved the site we were on last summer.
Camping Parc des Montsabert.
There is activities for older children and a late night disco, well away from the pitches. They didn't go to the disco, but for the first time ever joined in with some of the activities. This was mainly due to the guy who was head of the entertainment team, he really went out of his way to get them to join in.
The site is quiet and has a good pool.
We were there the last two weeks of August.
We went to St Catherine De Feirbois last year with our 2 teenage lads. A lovely site with a outside pool, slides, table tennis. Hardly saw my lads and they made loads of friends.

Our favourite...L'Etang de la Breche. Been there three times with our young teens and they absolutely loved it. Huge pitches, loads of space for ball games, footie, etc. Two pools with slides (one pool covers up). Small games room, mini-market on site with wonderful fresh pastries and bread each morning. Also a lovely little restaurant & bar. Not too big and we've never experienced any noise past 10pm at all. And so close to the very lovely Saumur.

That is also a lovely site. When we were there ( late August) it seemed to be more younger children than teens. We would return there but without our lads.
hi thanks everyone, I have been to Parc de Fierbois but several years ago now, like the look of Parc de Monstabert and also found Chantepie which looks nice. Has anyone stayed at Vallee des Vignes at all? thanks
