Hoping for some advice....

Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris mid August.  Having red the reviews, I am fancying the 'Camping quatre Vents' site but have a couple of questions you may be able to help with.

What is the easiest way to get to disney from the campsite, drive / train or bus?

I hear there is a train station in the nest village (Tournan), how far is this away (Wondering if it's walkable), and where do the trains go, Disney / Paris etc

Is there much in Tournan, for example, shop bakery, restaurant / bars

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

might be best to post this on the campsites thread - It wil get more noticed there I'd imagine. Have you had a look on Google earth though? Its not perfect, but you should get an idea of the layout of the village etc.

It might even be better to post it on the Camping and Caravanning Abroad thread.
We went to 4 Vents about 3 years ago and can't really remember much, but I do remember that we got the train to Paris from the train station and drove to Disneyland.

It was a nice site with good size pitches and I would definitely go there again if we were having another Disneyland trip.

we were there last year and found it a very good site with huge pitches,. we found it best to drive into disney and it only took about 20 mins but go early as possible to avoid the queues. Tournan does have a train station and would reccomend this if going into paris (reasonable price and kids are/were free. probably are restaurants in the town but we didnt visit any. hope this helps.

Hi Sean

I'd echo the above comments. WE stayed there two years ago, with the sole aim of doing Disney as we had vouchers. The drive there was easy, no problem at all, didn't take too long either.
The town of Touran is not particularly inspiring from what I can remember, but the parking at the station is free and its about 45 minutes into Paris from there.
The site was fabulous, great size pitches. Watch the pool if you have children, as it has no shallow end as it's circular (and cold too!)
Great site you will have a great time.

We used Jablines last year and were really impressed with the site and the surrounding area.  It took about 15 mins to drive to Disney and we'd go back again.  One piece of advice though (that's if the site's still the same this year).  When you arrive try and get pitched to the left of the entrance.  We were on the right and there seemed to be a permanent community of Dutch (what can only be described as) market traders.  It was a bit like Big Fat Gypsy Weddings!

Enjoy!
