Hoping for some advice....

Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris mid August.  Having red the reviews, I am fancying the 'Camping quatre Vents' site but have a couple of questions you may be able to help with.

What is the easiest way to get to disney from the campsite, drive / train or bus?

I hear there is a train station in the nest village (Tournan), how far is this away (Wondering if it's walkable), and where do the trains go, Disney / Paris etc

Is there much in Tournan, for example, shop bakery, restaurant / bars

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

we have been to Quatre Vents at Whitsun for the past couple of years and booked to go again this year.

Best to drive to Disney - roughly half an hour tops - really easy to get to off the motorway, well signed - parking was around 8 Euros if I remember but might have changed.

Tournan is around 15~20 mins away by car in the other direction to Disney - fairly big small town if that makes sense, a few restaurants bars shops etc but never eaten there ourselves. Medium sized supermarket is easy to find just off the main road you would use from Quatre Vents. No bakery in the immedaiate village where Quatre vents is, but the next one has a bakery and bar - a longish walk but cyclable.

The staion at Tournan is easy to find and goes into Paris - The last time I checked a day in Paris for 2 adults & 2 teenage kids with Metro came to £45~£50 (If I remeber correctly)

For us with teenage kids, Disneyland has lost its atraction (I personally think it never had any!!) and the best place is Parc Asterix - North of Paris about 1 and a half hours tops from Quatre Vent - can highly recommend and can get tickets with Tesco clubcard too

We went to Le 4 vents last year and loved it! We have booked to go back twice this year and getting an annual pass for Disney. It is about 20 mins drive to Disney. I didn't see any buses.

Tournan is a 5 min drive, definitely not possible to walk. The car park at the station is free though. About 45 mins on the train into Paris. they will give you metro map and directions to the station in the reception.

A bakery van comes every morning to the site. There is also a snack bar on site at night. A bit pricey but food was nice. Didn't get a chance to eat out near the site, but would also be interested to hear any info on good restaurants nearby.

BTW the pitches and huge and the site was very clean and tidy. Reception v.friendly. Have a great time!

Stayed in Quatre Vents. Its a lovely site, pitches huge, toilet block very well looked after. Staff on site excellent.
30 minute drive to Disney, it was quite a tricky drive there were a couple of roads closed. We were very reliant on the sat nav on return. It would have been impossible without it, there are very few streetlights and we would never have found our way back.
Have a great time!
