Cant offer much advice as we're planning our first overseas trip in our van. Also going to Bavaria for some alpine walking, beer + sausages in September.
We've decided on Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee, a bit pricy but my better half is sold on the private bathrooms + we've only seen good reviews, but do like the look of the site your considering, good luck.
Thanks for the reply, this will be our second to Germany, we have also done Austria twice as well and to be honest we have loved it every time, the people are very friendly, and the beer and suasages go well together.
Hi, I made an enquiry direct to the site but it got somewhat 'lost in translation' so they have reserved us a pitch without having to pay a deposit.
But since that we've got a price from the C+C Club thats about £25 cheaper overall with the current exchange rate + their price for the tunnel is better than booking direct. So its deciding whether to save a bit in the long run but paying in advance or not having to pay for the site till september.
Looking at 2 stops on route, northern France + then near Baden Baden to break the journey up, really looking forward to it.
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
