Hiyas........Has anyone been to the 3 * ** Camping & Caravan site in Southern France close to Port Grimaud.- "Camping Holiday Marina".

I would appreciate any comments and/or reflections and experiences - .whether good or bad,  as I cant find any feedback anywhere on line,  and we are  thinking of going there in late March 2005. Many thanks in anticipation.   PETE

Pete

I have not stayed at that particular site at Port Grimaud but have stay at two others with direct access to the beach. I think this site is in the Caravan Club book but I have heard that it is very expensive. I have lots of details on Port Gimaud on my website if its any use. To get to the beach you walk down through Port Grimaud which is very nice but it depends what you are lugging with you. We have stayed at Prairies de la Mer and Camping de la Plage, of the two I prefer the latter. The pitches are a good size and facilities no better than OK, unless they have improved in the last 2 years! Trouble is I don't know when the site opens as I could not see dates on the web site http://www.provence-campings.com/sttropez/camping-plage/ukcamping.htm

Hi ,pete, stayed at Prairies de la mer a few years back massive site, great site really busy didnt see site you mention however. One big problem for us though was the traffic along the road from St tropez to Frejus was never ending day and night the traffic jams were bloody awful, but that was in August, I hope its a bit better when you go.

Pete,

I see that you are having difficulty finding details on Holiday Marina, you can find the website at www.holiday-marina.com we are a relatively small family site with swimming pools adult and childrens, bar, snack, restaurant, kids club, scuba diving etc, we are 900 meters from the beach. All our touring pitches have their own private bathrooms complete with shower, sink toilet and are heated during low season. Our prices can been found on the website and are in line and frequently lower than other sites mentioned especially in lower season, all our pitches have 20 amps of electricity included in the price, outside sinks for dishwashing (1 per 2 emplacements). We also have a selection of mobile homes available for rent from 25mē to 45mē all new in 2004, these are bigger and normally at a lower price than other sites in the area.

If you would like any further information please visit our website or contact us at info@holiday-marina.com.
