Can anybody tell me if you can use camping cheques to pay for or towards the hire of a static, we are looking at val de authie for May half term & in the reviews on here somebody said they paid for a static using camping cheques, have been on camping chaques website but cant find anything about how many cheques I would need. The price of the static for 6 nights is 290 euros.
Thanks
Andy

I would be amazed if you could. Their terms and conditions specifically state that they are for a pitch and hookup for two people. Try contacting the site.
I suppose that if the static would otherwise be empty the site might be willing to accept them as payment, but possibly more than one cheque per night, as I suppose that they are very loosely a form of currency if the site gets face value for them. It's not in the T&C's though and not sure if you'd have any comeback in a dispute if they were used in this way.
I don't think you can use Camping Cheques but there used to be something called Holiday Cheques which were designed to be used for campsite accomdation. It might be worth a Google.

Thanks for the info that makes it clearer to me, val de authie is part of Kawan group & when I have looked more into payments on the parks site it does say Holiday cheques.
Thanks again for the valuable information

We've stayed at Val D'Authie in one of their chalets. Had a fantastic time. Everything was clean and well looked after. The swimming pool and restaurant were excellent too.

Some people are just all show. I don't mind that if the show is worth watching, but .....
Holiday Cheques and Camping Cheques are part of the same organisation, under the Kawan Banner - so many of the Camping Cheques sites also accept Holiday Cheques for their static accommodation.
Val D'Authie 8/5/11-30/5/11 is £37 a night for a Zen or Super Titania with Touring cheques and they offer 7 nights for 6. I picked up the brochure at the NEC last week. you do need to book, 01580214004 pets are allowed but cost extra.Take your own sheets etc
