Lots of people stop overnight at Chateau du Gandspette - a Camping Cheques site up until July, and again in September.  They use the Vet Mr Jean Paulus, at Eperlecques, which is just up the road from the site - and there is a nearby supermarket with some of the cheapest fuel around just nearby!

Others stay at a site at La Chaumiere  where the owner's wife is also receptionist at a local Veterinary surgery.

I think the further you are from calais the cheaper the vet. This one    Paul Sallé

we use a vet near to the campsite we (always) stay at. much simpler as we call in to arrange the appointment (rendezvous!) and book into the vets diary a couple of days after we arrive on site, job done!

we originally asked the campsite for the numbers of local vets, took a quick ride out and picked one we decided to use. perhaps if you know which site you will be staying at prior to returning home, you could ask them for a local vet etc? possibly beforehand by email if you want peice of mind, then email the vets and book the pooch in before you even travel!!
