Please could anyone recommend some camp sites between Southern France and on route to Benidorm that dont mind dogs.

Alex - there are loads of sites - most European sites accept dogs, as long as they're not Category 1 or 2 (ie the sort which would be classified as fighting dogs, or dangerous dogs). 

If you have a look on the Camping Cheques website there's a map of France/Spain, and campsites are indicated.  Clicking on each one takes you to an information page and that will tell you whether pets are accepted.

Try "Camping La Nautique" very near to Narbonne, we have used it a few times both too and from Spain, its Dutch owned so they speak perfect English, you even have your own W.C./Shower on each pitch, also a lovelly bar/restaraunt on site. Ideal for an overnight stop
